Today I cooked a Moroccan meal in Marrakech- being taught how by a lovely lady who spoke no English and I speak no Moroccan. Food is international it seems, although we had a little help from Leshon, who translated.
All the things you take for granted are done differently- it’s like looking through a prism – you know this is a vegetable but it never occurred that it could be prepared this way. (Grating a tomato for example).
There is a shared female food preparation spirit that exists throughout the world, I have shared it before and it is beautiful, words aren’t necessary, just watch, learn and laugh.
Ps it tasted heavenly! Success all round! (Am available for parties lol )
The International language of Food. Loved your post. Thanks for sharing it. Blessings, Selma.
