I thought I’d share this, as I still can’t actually believe it.

I saw many times on Instagram the other day an advert from Winsor and Newton saying that if you purchased any Winsor and Newton product, you would also be sent a postcard pack.

The idea being that you paint a postcard of anything and send it back to them.  It would then go forward into a huge exhibition in New York.

So I purchased some Ink, as I love their ink. I thought their postage charges were high. So the Ink was £3-ish but the postage was £4-ish. So I didn’t go forward.

I then thought, well its an entrance fee, so I decided to go ahead.  Only to read up later that it had to be a watercolour paint that you bought.

So attempt number two lol I went ahead and bought a small tube of a paint I use a lot of, and went and cancelled the previous order.

This was on the Sunday. It arrived on Tuesday, but with no postcards. So I got in touch with them, they had had a glitch, and she said she would get a set sent out. The very next day, a fabulous set of watercolour cards arrived.

Now bear in mind these usually sell for around £7.50, and you can see that I’m a little blown away that they are just giving this away for free.

I haven’t painted my postcard yet, but I will update this post with it when I am done.

This ‘competition’ is open until the end of September, or when supplies run out.
